AAB College held the training “Psychiatric Nursing and Mental Health”

AAB College, the Ministry of Health and the AAB Institute, in cooperation with the Career and Lifelong Learning Center “EVP Infermieror” organized today the training on “Psychiatric Nursing and Mental Health”.

In addition to the students of the Faculty of Nursing and Psychology of AAB College, this training has attracted great interest also to the candidates of the University Hospital Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK), regional hospitals, mental health centers throughout Kosovo, etc.

On the occasion of the solemn opening of this training, the deputy rector of AAB College, Shemsedin Vehapi said that these trainings are in full compliance with the academic development concepts promoted by AAB College.

Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Idriz Sopijani, said that these professional trainings are in the function of promotion of nursing profession and delivery of health care according to contemporary standards.

While two professors from the UK, Prof. Dr. Monika Rybacka and Prof. Dr. Joanne Brooke, lecturer at Oxford University, besides being pleased with the reception and the collaboration offered by AAB College, they also appeared in the capacity of lecturers.

Prof. Dr. Rybacka lectured about mental health in Britain, while Prof. Brooke about dementia, the current situation in Britain and for the other topic on the research.

Present in this training was the chairman of the Kosovo Nursing Chamber, Naser Rrustemi and the National Nursing Coordinator at SHSKUK, Lirije Beqiri.

At the end of the training, all participants were certified and received six credit points.

Training is accredited from the Board for Continuous Medical Education by the Ministry of Health.
