AAB College holds International Sports Conference

AAB College, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the Kosovo Olympic Committee, has organized the International Conference on Sports Science. The International Sports Conference kicked off on Friday, December 10, within the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at AAB College, with lecturers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Spain, Northern Macedonia, Croatia and Turkey.

This conference is a collaboration of AAB College with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Kosovo Olympic Committee which aims to create a platform that brings together academics, researchers, physical training instructors, sports scientists, nutritionists, psychologists, physiotherapists, coaches, yoga experts, and policy makers who can share their research and experiences in relevant fields. The Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at AAB College, Fatmir Pireva, opened the conference which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Sports, Daulina Osmani and the President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Ismet Krasniqi, among many other prominent figures. Deputy Minister of Sports, Mrs. Osmani spoke about the importance of this conference and how much of a role sports play in our country from an academic perspective.

The President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Ismet Krasniqi, congratulated AAB College for organizing this conference, which he said reflects the research work in sports activities, not only in our country but also beyond.

“KOC aims to contribute to the advancement of education and scientific research in sports by cooperating with various educational and sports institutions in the country. Such a cooperation agreement was signed with AAB College just a few months ago, allowing us to begin our work in advancing sports in our country through various joint activities,” said Krasniqi.

Due to the large number of lecturers from different countries of the region, the conference is being held in English and is covering a wide range of topics, from sports, sports medicine, sports pedagogy, physical and sports education, and even sports marketing.

The International Conference on Sports Science will be held for two days, on December 10 and 11, in the premises of AAB College.
