AAB College will host WiSci Girls STEAM Camp #wiscikosovo, which will be held from August 18-29, 2019. Participanting in this camp will be 100 girls from USA, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Serbia, aged 15 to 18, who will join technology leaders to learn about science, technology, art, design and leadership.
WiSci Camp is made possible through a public-private partnership, with many partners from around the world, including the US Department of State, Millennium Challenge Corporation, Girl Up, and private sector partners such as Intel, Google, NASA, the American Society for Microbiology, Microsoft, and others.
The WiSci Girls’ STEAM Camp is a great project involving high school girls from all over the world in science, technology, engineering, arts and design and math (STEAM).
In gender relations, there is a profound difference in the STEM fields between men and women globally, so the WiSci Camp aims to help bridge this gap through access to education, mentoring opportunities and leadership training.
Five girls’ camps (WiSci Camps) are planned to be held in 2019, where, aside from Kosovo, camps will also be held in Namibia, Ethiopia, Estonia and Oregon in the United States.
