AAB College marks International Privacy Day

As part of numerous daily activities, today marked the International Privacy Day with the conference “Privacy in the Digital Age”, as a result of the cooperation of AAB College’s Faculty of Computer Science and Cyber Security and Privacy.

Participating in this conference were international and local experts who addressed privacy challenges in the digital age. In his keynote address, the Chairman of the Steering Council of AAB College, Lulzim Tafa said that the topic of today’s conference is of interest and very current, and worthy of a discussion in an academic environment such as AAB College.

Whereas, the head of Cyber Security and Privacy, Mentor Hoxhaj said that there is a lot of talk about privacy and its protection, but a lot of work needs to be done in terms of legislation on this issue.

Also present to mark this day were the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Jeton Shaqiri and the chairwoman of the Commission for Human Rights, Duda Balje. The latter, in her capacity as an MP, revealed from her recent experience the challenges of privacy and insisted that a legislation on this phenomenon be passed through the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

This is the third time such a conference is organized at AAB College.
