The International Translation Day was marked by the English Language Faculty of AAB College, with activities by students and the faculty’s dean’s office. Through an activity in the square of Prishtina, our students and professors talked to the citizens about this day, informing them more about it and the challenges of this profession. While the other activity was held through a discussion roundtable at AAB College. Two main points were discussed at this table: translation in the age of digitalization: the context of Kosovo and the role of academia in the translation profession.

The dean of the English Language Faculty at AAB College, Aida Alla, thanked those present while emphasizing the important role of translators. The other two panelists, Bruno Neziraj and Afrim Hyseni, showed the attendees the great impact that technological development has had in the field of translation and the improvements that must be made by the academies in Kosovo in this field.

The professors of the English Language Faculty at AAB College spoke about the maximum commitment towards students, so that in the future they will be ready for the labor market and correctly learn the work ethic that belongs to a translator.
