AAB College’s Journalism students take part in election campaign monitoring

16 September 2021

A group of AAB College journalism students were involved in monitoring the local election campaign in Kosovo. These students, who have already started their training by foreign experts, will monitor the communications of politicians on social networks for a month leading to the October 17 local election campaign.

This was achieved thanks to a cooperation agreement signed today between the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB College and the Democracy for Development (D4D) institute.

The director of D4D, Rrezarta Delibashzade Krasniqi, stated that this cooperation is guided by the principles of mutual understanding and respect, and by the need to develop and strengthen professional and academic cooperation in the field of communication, media, and democracy.

Journalism students, according to the Dean of FMK, Hasan Saliu, are taking part in this project as interns. However, the agreement also provides for other useful collaborations for students related to media and democracy in the future.

The engagement of journalism students in this project comes after the signing of the Code of Conduct of social networks, by D4D, civil society, media, and the CEC.
