March 21st is also known worldwide as the international day of Down syndrome. This date is marked by numerous activities, the purpose of which is to raise awareness for psycho-social support for persons with Down syndrome and their integration into society.

Numerous friends from all over the world were joined by AAB College students who met with members of the Down syndrome community and promoted the motto of the international day of Down syndrome for 2019 “Leave no one behind”.

Agnesa, Fitorja and Jozef, Psychology students, said that today they feel very happy because they have been given the opportunity to proactively promote the cause for raising awareness of persons with Downs syndrome. 

Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Prof. Mimoza Kamberi said that AAB College has expressed its readiness to support such initiatives for years. “Our students are always involved in various activities aimed at raising awareness of persons with Down syndrome as they have every right to be a part of their community, be they children or adults” Said Prof. Kamberi.
