Professors from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Public Administration at AAB College, Prof. Ass. Dr. Besard Belegu and Prof. Ass. Dr. Lavdim Terziu, have published a scientific article on employee motivation and its impact on work efficiency, focusing on the Basic Court of Prishtina.
Through a qualitative approach, the authors analysed court employees’ perceptions regarding the factors influencing their engagement and performance at work.
The research revealed that, despite legal reforms and infrastructural improvements in Kosovo’s judicial system, sustainable mechanisms for fostering staff motivation remain lacking. The authors emphasize that bureaucratic culture, the absence of merit-based evaluation, and the exclusion of staff from decision-making processes remain key factors hindering institutional efficiency.
