Aims and the profile of the study program

The MA Management program is designed to prepare qualified professionals with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of strategic management, human resource management, financial management, organizational innovation, and leadership of digital transformation. The program aims to equip students with the skills to lead organizations, make strategic decisions, and implement effective managerial policies in the dynamic environment of the global business world.

This program develops analytical, research, managerial, and decision-making skills, enabling students to critically understand contemporary management trends, organizational change, human capital development processes, and the management of financial and technological resources. Students learn to apply modern management and leadership theories to provide sustainable solutions in various economic, institutional, and social contexts.

Mission statement

The mission of the MA study program in Management is through the teaching and research process to align students with the demands of the labour market and the nature of business management, enabling them to transform their professional competence in the context of the development of managerial, analytical, strategic, research and creative skills in the fields of management. The program aims to provide genuine research and professional conditions that enable adequate preparation of students for the local, regional and international labour market.

Expected learning outcomes

At the end of the MA program in Management students will acquire the following knowledge, skills and competences:

Knowledge

• identify advanced management strategies and human resource management strategies by obtaining information from the external environment and resources within organizations;
• describe in an advanced manner contemporary management practices and their role in business management and other institutions;
• conduct general process of designing scientific research and modelling quantitative methods adapted to the field of management;
• reflect on the theories of innovation and entrepreneurship as a source and means of implementing strategic changes within an organization;
• distinguish the different methods for managing conflicts within the organization by analysing concrete strategies for solving problems;
• analyse advanced finance management in corporations and investments for various application projects;
• discuss the process of supply chain management, quality management and management of marketing strategies.

Skills

• demonstrate the ability to use a critical thinking approach and develop problem-solving strategies for important and complex issues related to the functioning of the management of organizations;
• communicate effectively with specialized audiences through the drafting of concise, well-researched, professionally formatted and structured reports and presents reports clearly and effectively from various management areas;
• use information technology to apply research methods in the field of management through various statistical software and make strategic decisions based on empirical results;
• prepare projects, business plans, strategic plans and seminar papers using guidelines and creative management approaches of businesses and other public and financial institutions and draft the idea of the Master’s thesis applying scientific research standards.

Competences:

• address complex ethical and professional issues and make decisions on issues not addressed by current professional codes or practices due to rapid global change;
• integrate the knowledge and skills for the field of management in understanding the development of the organization, thus being aware of maintaining a balanced decision-making process;
• become independent in different analyses of strategic management, human resource management, quality management, supply chain management and information systems management;
• become autonomous in the design and management of projects, and the application of strategic plans, business plans and the implementation of the scientific process for solving problems and making managerial decisions;
• manage time in the sense of organizing and systematizing priorities and tasks.

Admission to studies

According to Article 6 of the Regulation, candidates are eligible for MA studies if they have completed their Bachelor’s studies and earned at least 180/240 ECTS, depending on the program. Further conditions for admission to the MA program are:

• completion of a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited and recognized higher education institution, either domestically or internationally;
• successful completion of the selection procedure;
• completing the application with the required documentation as defined by MESTI.

Number of study places

The number of study places according to the decision of the KAA is 200 students per academic year.

Recognition of qualifications

Per the Regulation for Master’s Studies at AAB College, recognition of qualifications and transfer of studies are governed by Articles 9, 10, and 11 of this regulation. These articles outline the conditions, criteria, and procedures for admitting students from other higher education institutions, the transfer process, and the recognition and equivalence of previously studied courses.

Duration and number of ECTS

Studies in the MA program in Management last 2 years (4 semesters) and comprise a total of 120 ECTS, with 60 ECTS per year and 30 ECTS per semester.

Level and Academic Degree

Upon completion of the studies, students are awarded the academic title Master of Arts in Management.

Employment perspectives

Graduates of the MA Management program are prepared for advanced professional positions such as general managers, project managers, human resource managers, organizational consultants, quality managers, directors of financial or operational departments, as well as entrepreneurs who develop and lead innovative enterprises in both local and international markets.

Assessment methods

Learning outcomes in the MA Management program are assessed through written exams, research work, assignments, and presentations. The various methods used to evaluate student performance aim to assess research and literature review skills, data processing, application of research methods, computer literacy, the ability to contextualize and evaluate, presentation skills and professionalism, as well as cooperation and teamwork.

Student rights

Students at AAB College, in accordance with the Statute and the Regulation for MA Studies, have the right to:

• Attend lectures and participate in academic activities
• Access university services, including the library and internet
• Be represented in student bodies
• Organize non-political associations
• Receive official student documents
• Obtain a diploma upon completion of their studies’

Additionally, students have the right to submit complaints and requests regarding any aspect of the teaching process, assessment, or any other issues that they believe may hinder their academic development and well-being while studying at the college.

Student involvement in quality assurance

At AAB College, students are considered equal partners in the design, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance processes. They actively participate in every working group or workshop that discusses policymaking, strategic planning, and decision-making. Specifically, students engage in quality assurance procedures through the following activities:

• students assess the academic staff and teaching content
• students assess administrative services and infrastructure
• students are full members in academic and decision-making bodies of the college
• students participate in committees and working groups
• students are involved in drafting, completing, and reviewing study programs
• students provide continuous input on all matters affecting students and the college
• students offer recommendations for improvements related to procedures, policies, processes, or
• decisions concerning the college.
