The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, in cooperation with the Chess Federation of Kosovo, organized a chess tournament in honor of Independence Day. The beginning of the tournament was announced by the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Fatmir Pireva and the Secretary General of the Chess Federation of Kosovo, Mr. Burhan Misini.

The tournament was organized according to the 9 round Swiss system, where 93 chess players participated. Various prizes and recognitions were awarded to the top players of this tournament.
