Students of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Department of Journalism, as part of the Business Journalism course, attended a special lecture on monopolies and oligopolies, where the head of the Kosovo Competition Authority, Mr. Valon Prestreshi was also invited.

Mr. Prestreshi initially made a presentation on the structure and work of the Kosovo Competition Authority, the mission of this authority as well as the great need this authority has for cooperation with the media.

During this lecture he focused mainly on explaining prohibited economic deals, abuse of dominant market position and enterprise concentrations.

The second year students of Journalism expressed interest on this Authority and through their questions they also showed interest in the commitment of the Authority to combat monopolies, citing concrete issues of these economic structures in the Kosovo market.
