On the second day of the Prishtina Arts and Architecture Festival, the Scientific Conference on Arts and Architecture has begun, and researchers from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Italy and Slovenia are taking part.
During the opening of this conference, the Vice-Rector for Science at AAB College, Hasan Saliu, emphasized that PAAF is yet another testament to the serious commitments made by AAB College.
“AAB has created an optimal harmony between university teaching, creation and research. In this environment, students have the opportunity to link theoretical lessons with scientific research, practical application and applied research which is being utilized by some of our programs, including the arts and architecture programs, “said Vice Rector Saliu.
He added that AAB College is not only the largest non-public institution in the region, but also a regional pillar of scientific conferences, where societal problems are scrupulously discussed.
The Arts and Architecture Conference was also hailed by the Director of the Festival Board, Prof. Shyqri Nimani, who emphasized that AAB has always proved to be in favor of these initiatives from which students benefit greatly.
“It’s a wonderful thing that an initiative that started last year is still going on because it is much harder to maintain an idea than to come up with it. I think our university is powerful and any initiative that it undertakes is only developed further.” added Nimani.
The Art and Architecture Conference is continuing its work with the presentation of research. Dr. Andrea Grilleto from Italy, began the presentations with the topic “Methodologies and Measurement Instruments for a Sustainable Restoration of Historic Buildings”, followed by Dr. Sc. Bujar Demjaha on the topic “Challenges and Failures of Pejton Neighborhood in Prishtina”, after whom others took their turn presenting their research.
It is noteworthy that in the second day of the “Prishtina Arts and Architecture Festival”, besides the Conference and Art Colony, under the title of “Tulipan”, fashion design students will bring their creations in clothing design, which they worked on under the supervision and care of teachers Flutura Dedinja and Krenare Rugova.
PAAF2019 will continue on the following day, May 24th, with various activities in the premises of AAB College.
