Panel discussion held on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On the topic of “Difficulties and Priorities of Girls and Women in Exact Sciences”, a panel discussion was held on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, led by Professor of the Faculty of Computer Sciences Edlira Qefalija, during which important issues related to the participation of women in this field were highlighted.

This panel was organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Social Sciences, and was attended by Dean Saranda Shatri, Coordinator Diana Qarkaxhija and part of the academic staff from this faculty.

The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and the professors spoke about the number of women studying in the programs offered by the faculty. They emphasized that the participation of women in science in large numbers is clearly noticeable, which is followed by their successes, as they expect that in the following years there will be even greater interest on their part, given the rapid technological developments.

Contributions to this panel discussion were also made by Vice-Rector Venera Llunji, Professors Lauresha Ramadani, Arbëresha Aliçkaj, Malësore Gashi, Lirika Bërdynaj and the participating students.
