Albert Paçarizi was born on January 30, 1973, in the village of Dragobil, municipality of Malisheva, where he also completed his primary and secondary education. A citizen of Kosovo, he is currently employed as a lecturer at AAB College in Pristina. With extensive academic and professional experience in English language, literature, and legal English, he brings over two decades of expertise in teaching, translation, and academic research.
Albert Paçarizi is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, Faculty of Philology, Department of English Language. His dissertation is titled “The Literary Discourse in the Songs of Bob Dylan,” which explores the intersections of literature, music, and socio-political commentary, including contemporary cultural narratives and literary analysis.
Albert Paçarizi’s professional journey began nearly two decades ago, initially working as a translator and interpreter between Albanian and English, both in military and academic environments. His linguistic career started in 1998 as a language assistant for the OSCE’s Kosovo Verification Mission (KVM). Shortly after the end of the war in Kosovo, Albert joined the British Armed Forces under the KFOR mission, serving as a translator and language assistant. Stationed in Prishtina with the British Forces (BFPO 559), he worked there from 1999 to 2003, facilitating communication between British military personnel and the local population of Kosovo.
From 2003 to 2010, Albert continued his role as a translator and language assistant with the Swedish Armed Forces, also part of KFOR, based at Camp Victoria in Hajvali. In this position, he contributed to civil-military cooperation efforts and played a key role in supporting diplomatic and humanitarian interactions between KFOR and the local communities. In 2010 and 2012, Albert worked as a translator for various international projects, including EU Twinning Projects in Pristina.
After completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at AAB College, Albert began his academic career in 2013 as a member of the AAB College academic staff, initially as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. From 2013 to 2016, he supported academic and teaching activities in English language instruction, translation studies, and applied linguistics. His background as a language assistant influenced his pedagogical approach, providing students not only with professional translation skills but also with an understanding of the importance of intercultural communication.
Throughout these years, Albert Paçarizi has demonstrated unwavering commitment to providing accurate and context-aware linguistic support, contributing significantly to international cooperation, post-conflict stabilization, and higher education in Kosovo. His academic journey began at AAB College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages in 2013, followed by a Master’s degree in the same field in 2015. These studies laid the groundwork for his interdisciplinary focus, connecting language studies with translation, literature, and applied linguistics.
His academic experience is both rich and diverse. Since 2016, he has worked as a lecturer in English language at the Faculty of Law, AAB College, teaching courses such as English Language I and II, and Legal English. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2016, he held the position of Assistant at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, contributing to teaching and curriculum development. His teaching experience also includes subjects such as Creative Writing, Introduction to Literary Theory, British Literature, and American Literature, reflecting a broad and in-depth engagement with English language pedagogy.
Albert Paçarizi is a native speaker of Albanian and is fluent in English, Serbian, and Bosnian.
In the field of academic publishing and professional development, Albert Paçarizi was engaged by AAB College to provide English-Albanian and Albanian-English language editing and proofreading services for the international scientific journal Thesis from 2014 to 2018.
He also contributed to the organization of the 10th International Conference of the Albanian Institute of Sociology (AIS) held in 2015.
Albert Paçarizi has presented and published several academic papers at international conferences and in journals indexed in SCOPUS and Google Scholar.
In addition to his extensive experience as a translator and interpreter, Albert Paçarizi has also provided simultaneous and consecutive translation services for distinguished high-level international figures visiting Kosovo, particularly AAB College. Among these figures were individuals honored by AAB College with honorary titles, including James Shea, former spokesperson of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO), among many others. His role in these events was crucial, ensuring uninterrupted communication during official ceremonies, academic lectures, and public and political discussions. Albert’s ability to deliver accurate and culturally attuned translations has contributed to the success of these high-profile visits and demonstrated professionalism, linguistic competence, and impartiality under pressure in prestigious academic and diplomatic settings.
