Prof. Ass. Dr. Fatmir Çollakaj was born on November 17, 1961 in Prizren, where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1985, he graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Prishtina in the field of “Philosophy and Sociology”. In 1991, he completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Zagreb in the Faculty of Philosophy in the field of “Social Ecology”. In the period 2001-2003, he studied for a Master’s degree at the University of Prishtina in the Faculty of Law, Criminal Law. In 2010, he completed his Master’s degree at the University of Sarajevo, in the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Sciences, where he earned the title of Master of Criminalistics. (Mr.Sc). Further, in 2016, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the European University of Tirana, Faculty of Law, in the field of Criminal Law, being honored with the title Doctor of Legal Sciences – Public Law.
Furthermore, he pursued his second doctoral studies at the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology, Security Studies (2013 – 2016).
In 2017, he received the Academic title of Prof. Asst., at the Faculty of Law, in the Criminal Law group.
His professional experience began in the field of education, working for three years as a professor at the “Gjon Buzuku” Gymnasium in Prizren, from 1994 to 1997. His subsequent experience was in Social Welfare, at the Institute of Social Policies, as a researcher, from 2004 to 2009.
Prof. Çollakaj has also a long training career since 2012 and ongoing at the Academy of Justice, an institution where Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Kosovo are trained.
Prof. Ass. Dr. Fatmir Çollakaj is an academic and manager with extensive experience in the public, private and academic sectors in Kosovo and the region. He served for almost 14 years as Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Law at AAB College, where he still continues to be a full-time assistant professor at the Faculty of Law.
Mr Qollaku is a prominent public figure serving as an analyst and expert on Security and Crime Fighting in Kosovo and regional media, where he presents a high interdisciplinary and multi-application profile.
Prof. Çollakaj has an intense academic activity. Since the academic year 2009/2010, he has been part of the regular staff at the AAB College where he lectures in the fields of Criminology, Sociology of Law, Syllable Criminology, Terrorism, Organized Crime.
Scientific papers and conferences – His contribution to science includes a series of publications in journals indexed as SCOPUS and Google Scholar as well as participation in scientific conferences in Sarajevo, Tirana, Prishtina. Among his most well-known works are:

He is married, has four children and lives in Pristina.
