Fehmi Hysenaj, born on July 5, 1969, in Shtime, is a lecturer and seasoned professional with extensive experience in computer science, education, technology, and public policy. He currently serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science at AAB College, where he contributes to curriculum development, course delivery, and academic consultation for students.
His career is marked by a successful combination of technical education and institutional engagement at the highest levels of governance and education in Kosovo. Over the years, he has held prominent roles such as Political Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Education, and Parliamentary Advisor to the Assembly of Kosovo. In these roles, he led strategic initiatives in education, digital development, and policymaking, and also served as the Chair of the State Matura Commission.
Fehmi is currently a PhD candidate at the South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo, at the Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from AAB College and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Riinvest College, building a strong academic foundation in modern technology systems and software management.
His teaching experience includes lecturing Java OOP at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, and earlier serving as an ICT teacher at the “Naim Frashëri” high school in Shtime, where he also managed the school’s IT infrastructure and developed its official website.
Professionally and institutionally, he has contributed as a Project Manager for the Municipality of Shtime, focusing on the development of IT infrastructure in public institutions. He also volunteered in software maintenance at the ZORN Agency and has been actively involved in the maintenance and development of AAB College’s internal systems.
His research activity includes presentations at international conferences on topics such as cloud computing security and the application of artificial intelligence, including contributions to the International Student Congress at Maltepe University and events organized by UNYT, SEEU, and AAB College.
In addition to academic activities, he has participated in workshops and international study visits, such as the visit to CITO in the Netherlands, focused on educational assessment systems and test review processes, as well as ministerial meetings on education in the Western Balkans.
Fehmi Hysenaj has successfully completed numerous professional certifications, including training in project management, electronic student assessment, academic writing, IT techniques, and curriculum development. He possesses an excellent combination of technical, academic, and leadership skills.
Socially and within the community, he serves as the Secretary of the Intellectual Forum of Shtime, and has formerly held roles such as President of the Handball Club “Vjosa” and Board Member of AKV “DITA”. His civic engagement reflects a strong commitment to community development and youth advancement.
He is fluent in Albanian (native), English, and Croatian, which allows him to communicate effectively in multilingual and international environments.
