Mimoza Shahini

Prof.ass. Mimoza Shahin is a full-time lecturer at the AAB College. She has been a lecturer in different Universities such as the State University of Prishtine and Mitrovica and in private universities such as Dardania College and the European University of Tirana. She graduated in Medical Sciences at the University of Tirana, Albania, later won the title of Master of Science at the University of Prishtina. While the title Doctor of Medical Sciences at the University of Vienna in Austria.

Prof.ass. Mimoza Shahin is a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as a Family Therapist. During her career, she has been an International Advisor to the World Psychiatric Association for the Global Program for Children, a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal “Developmental Translational Psychiatry”, President of the “Association for Mental Health for Children and Adolescents” and the Kosovo Association for Family Therapy. She is the founder of the “Center for Human Services and Development.”

She is currently involved in projects that promote early childhood education and is a member of the advisory body of the Ministry of Education, for early childhood education.

Her international experience is related to her involvement in several international projects. She has been a member of the research group “ASEBA (The Achenbach System of Empirically Based Assessment) for 11 years. Dr Shahini also contributed to the NATO publication ‘Political violence, organized crimes, terrorism and youth’ (2008), including the proceedings of the workshop on this subject at the Hacettepe University in Ankara (Turkey). The main focus of her studies has been the development of children and the connection of mental health problems with genetic, social, political and She is the author and co-author of several publications in the field of medical and psychological sciences
