Dr. Vloriana Arifaj-Shala is a Radiology Specialist based in Prishtina, Kosovo, with over a decade of clinical, academic, and scientific experience in diagnostic imaging. She is recognized for her deep commitment to breast imaging and the early detection of complex radiological conditions, both in adult and pediatric populations.

Clinical Experience

Since 2015, Dr. Arifaj-Shala has served as a Radiology Specialist at the Radiology Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK), the country’s largest tertiary care hospital. Her work focuses on diagnostic imaging as a cornerstone for accurate clinical decision-making and patient-centered treatment.

Her expertise in breast imaging has also been applied in several regional institutions. In 2022, she joined the Main Family Medicine Center (QKMF) in Istog and Vital Clinic in Prishtina, continuing her efforts in early breast cancer detection. She previously served in 2019 at the “Sheik El Zaed” Regional Hospital in Vushtrri, and in 2017 at QKMF Elez Han, consistently contributing to the advancement of diagnostic services in local communities.

Academic Engagement

Dr. Arifaj-Shala has a strong academic presence in higher education. Since 2023, she has worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Radiology at AAB College, delivering academic content and supporting student development in imaging sciences. Between 2020 and 2022, she held a teaching assistantship at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Prishtina, in the Department of Radiology, guiding medical students through foundational and advanced imaging techniques.
