Prishtina International Theater Festival continues its journey with its fifth edition this year

The only international theater festival in Kosovo, “Prishtina International Theater Festival – PITF”, organized by AAB College and AAB Theater “Faruk Begolli”, has launched its fifth edition.

This edition will be dedicated to the work and life of one of the founders of this festival, director Burbuqe Berisha, who passed away recently.

In the press conference, the Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, Zija Rexhepi, announced that within the competitive program of this edition, theatrical troupes from Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo will be performing in both theaters of AAB College.

“We have 5 competitive and two guest performances planned in this year’s program of #PITF2021.”, said Rexhepi.

Rexhepi also stated that, this year, there will be three juries that will evaluate the participating performances: the professional jury, which will consist of Enver Petrovci, Gresa Pallaska and Tome Stanovski, the media jury, which will consist of Ilire Zajmi, Getoarbë Mulliqi Bojaj and Drin Ejupi, as well as the student jury consisting of students of AAB College.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of PITF2021, Doruntina Alshiqi, said that the number of applicants for participation in this edition was much higher than in other years, but many countries could not confirm participation due to the deteriorating situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.

PITF2021 will run from November 29 to December 4, 2021.
