Professor of AAB College, Prof. Ass. Dr. Mimoza Shkodra has been officially accepted as the only Albanian full member of the Global Observatory of Physical Activity (GOPA).

“Being a member of GOPA means a lot to me and is a big step for Kosovo. I am glad that I am the youngest member and the first Albanian of GOPA” said Shkodra.

Shkodra also spoke of her journey to becoming a member in GOPA. She said that everything started after the publication of the scientific paper on the effects of training on functional parameters in women, after which she was contacted by the Secretary General of the Observatory.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the successful membership, the admission of Mimoza Shkodra is another victory for Kosovo, because so far, our country was presented as part of Serbia in GOPA.

“I am thrilled that I and researchers in the field of physical activity, epidemiology and public health policy makers in Kosovo now have a member in the Global Council of Physical Activity and Health” said Professor Mimoza Shkodra.
