Rector of AAB College, Dr. Sc. Bujar Demjaha signed the new document of Magna Charta Universitatum, MCU2020, which will come into force in June 2021.
This new MCU document incorporates all the Magna Charta founding document’s original core values while also trying to resonate with contemporary challenges and concerns.
The signing of the Magna Charta Universitatum is a testament to the fact that AAB College is a member of the global higher education community committed to academic excellence and the provision of high-quality education.
AAB College is a signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum since 2010 as the only non-public institution of higher education in the country.
The Magna Charta Universitatum was drafted in 1988 by the rectors of European universities where it was initially signed by 388 universities. Meanwhile, today it is signed by over 900 Higher Education Institutions worldwide and serves as a document that supports the basic principles of higher education with a focus specific to the principles of academic freedom and institutional autonomy.
