The Faculty of Economics at AAB College organized a roundtable discussion titled “Kosovo’s Economic Future: Policies, Trade, and Business Challenges in a Global Market.” The event brought together executive leaders from key national institutions, including the Director of Kosovo Customs, Mr. Agron Llugaliu; the Ambassador of Sweden to Kosovo, Mr. Jonas Westerlund; the EBRD Regional Coordinator, Ms. Leonora Kusari; the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Arian Zeka; and the Executive Director of the Kosovo–German Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Besnik Vasolli.
The roundtable was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilir Rexhepi and was further enriched by contributions from professors and students of the Faculty of Economics, who actively participated in the discussion by raising professional questions and reflections, adding academic and practical value to the event.
Panelists presented concrete examples, statistical data, practical experience, and key recommendations on reforms aimed at improving the business environment, strengthening institutional integrity, and enhancing the competitive capacities of Kosovo’s economy.
On behalf of AAB College, Vice-Rector Prof. Ilir Bytyqi thanked the panelists for their participation and valuable contributions, and expressed special appreciation to the Faculty of Economics and the moderator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilir Rexhepi, for organizing an event of significant importance for the country’s economic and academic developments.
The roundtable concluded with an interactive Q&A session with students, fostering an open exchange of ideas between the new academic generation and decision-makers who directly influence the direction of Kosovo’s economy, followed by closing remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Xhavit Islami, who thanked all participants for their contributions.
