At the invitation of Professor Eriona Ajvazi, in the English language class, the students of the Programming branch had the lecturer from Tirana, Kelvin Zilfa, as a virtual guest. The former lecturer at the University of Tirana, specialized official translator, currently resident in Vienna specializing in Multilingual Technologies at the University of Vienna, lectured for the students on the topic “Intersection of Language and Technology: A Journey into Natural Language Processing”.

In this virtual lecture, we talked about the connection between linguistics and technology, the application of computer techniques on the analysis and synthesis of natural language and speech.

The students of the three groups followed the lecture with interest, and further discussed the topic. Such connections are welcome and inspiring for students.
