Symposium II “Integrated approach to health and education on health” begins

On the occasion of marking International Health Day, AAB College, respectively the Faculty of Nursing, Dentistry, Radiology and Psychology, in cooperation with the AAB Institute and the Kosovo Chamber of Nurses, have organized Symposium II “Integrated Approach to health and health education”.

The opening of the Symposium was made by the Vice-Rector of AAB College, Shemsedin Vehapi, who said that health and well-being are multidimensional problems which to be properly addressed require interdisciplinary approach that AAB College always practices, and this Symposium is precisely as evidence that has gathered such a large number of participants.

The proceedings of the Symposium were greeted by prof.dr. Luan Jaha, advisor to the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who stressed that the Government of Kosovo will be committed to improving the situation in the health sector, as a direct institutional support for health workers.

On behalf of the Minister of Health, Mrs. Fetije Huruglica also delivered a speech, saying that health professionals are the main connection of the health system, therefore, the Ministry of Health based on the reforms of the health legislation is also working on strengthening the role of Nurses.

Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at AAB College, prof. Idriz Sopjani, at the opening of the Symposium underlined the successes of the Faculty of Nursing within a short period in AAB College, adding that the faculties are all the time in consultation and conversation with various Nursing experts, on how to act so that future nurses are as prepared as possible.

Hundreds of health workers are participating in this Medical Symposium, in addition to the large number of students and academic staff members, while the Symposium proceedings will take place throughout the day in separate sessions.
