29 October 2020

As part of the training and workshops for advancing the teaching methodology and the academic staff, the teachers of AAB College attended today the first part of the webinar for online teaching.

This webinar, organized by the Quality Assurance Office of AAB College, aims to identify the key features that enable a successful online learning experience. The “Effective Transition to Online Learning” webinar will take place in two separate workshops, including a) effective online teaching, and b) student assessment in online learning.

The need for such training after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has turned into a necessity, especially since it is predicted that this method of learning will continue to develop even further after the pandemic has passed.

In today’s workshop the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic notions and principles of online learning, forms of online learning and their differences, challenges and opportunities of online learning, effective engagement of students in the online lesson, lesson planning, practical proposals for online learning, etc.

Through this interactive webinar, the academic staff aims to improve on current practices used in online learning.

The trainer in this webinar was Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, international e-learning expert who has advised and drafted strategies for online learning in over 25 universities around the world, while lecturing in over 150 international forums and conferences.
