Prof. Arbëresha Qerimi was born on March 31, 1992, in Gjilan, and is married with two children. She completed her primary and secondary education in the city of Ferizaj. She pursued her bachelor and master’s studies at AAB College (https://aab-edu.net/) in the field of Management and Informatics, successfully completing them between 2012 and 2017. In 2017, she graduated with honors (grade 10.00), defending a thesis titled: “The Impact of Human Resource Motivation on the Improvement of Service Quality in Hospitality Enterprises in Kosovo”.
Her academic engagement culminated with a PhD at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria (https://www.au-plovdiv.bg/en/) , in the field of Management and Organization, where she earned the title Doctor of Science. Her dissertation focused on: “Motivation Strategies to Improve Human Resource Motivation in Kosovo’s Agribusiness Sector.”
Since 2018, Prof. Qerimi has been part of the academic staff at the Faculty of Economics, AAB College (https://aab-edu.net/en/persons/arberesha-qerimi-en/) , initially as an assistant lecturer (2018–2019), and from October 2019 onwards, as a full lecturer. Her teaching portfolio includes: Mathematics, Statistics, Management, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Operational Management, and Database Management Systems.
Her scientific and academic interests include: human resource management and employee motivation, public sector efficiency and organizational behavior, service quality management in the hospitality and financial sectors, digital transformation, strategic management, institutional leadership and governance, and quality assurance and evaluation in higher education.
As part of her international academic engagement, Prof. Qerimi has participated in two Erasmus+ mobilities at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. During these exchanges, she contributed to the teaching process and fostered academic collaborations in support of research and the internationalization of higher education.
Currently, Prof. Qerimi serves as the coordinator of Work Package 3 (quantitative research component) within the international project EDU-LAB – European Youth in Transition in Education and into the Labour Market (https://www.edu-lab-project.eu/project-description/) , funded by the Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission. The project aims to analyze the factors affecting the education-to-labor-market pathways of young people, with a specific focus on inclusion, equity, and the effectiveness.
She possesses advanced skills in statistical analysis (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), educational digital tools (Moodle, Zoom, MS Teams), and the Microsoft Office suite. She also has solid experience in academic writing, research project coordination, and policy analysis.
Prof. Qerimi has an extensive publication record, with numerous scientific articles published in internationally indexed journals such as SCOPUS and Google Scholar. Her research contributions are focused on management, motivation, service quality, and higher education.
She is fluent in English (C1 level) and is a native speaker of Albanian. She currently resides in Gjilan, Kosovo.
