Dr. Basri Sadriu was born on October 13, 1966, in Shtime, where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina. Later, in 2013, he completed his Master’s studies at Globus College with the thesis titled “The Tax System of Kosovo and Its Impact on Economic Development”, thereby earning the degree of Master of Economic Sciences (Mr.Sc.). Subsequently, in 2020, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the International University of Struga on the topic: “The History of the Tax System of Kosovo, the Concept, Types of Taxes, and Their Role in Kosovo’s Budget for the Period 2000-2018”, earning the title Doctor of Economic Sciences.
His professional experience began as a teacher at the Economic High School in Ferizaj during the years 1992-1993. Most of his professional experience is rooted in a long career with leadership positions in the Tax Administration of Kosovo, starting from the year 2000 until today. Additionally, he also held executive positions; during the years 2012-2013, he was part of the Economic Bank serving as a member of the Board of Directors for tax issues.
Dr. Basri Sadriu is an academic and leader with extensive experience in leadership and executive roles in the public, private, and academic sectors in Kosovo. Since 2017, he has been part of the faculty at AAB College, where he has lectured courses in management and economics such as:
