In an official ceremony at AAB College, the handover of the management duties at the Faculty of Computer Science, one of the most important academic units in the field of technology and innovation in Kosovo, took place.
Prof. Ass. Dr. Jusuf Qarkaxhija, the previous dean, handed over the duties to AI expert, Dr. Sc. Arben Ahmeti, who now takes on the role of the new dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at AAB College. On this occasion, the Rector of AAB College, Dr.Sc. Blerim Olluri emphasized the importance of this transition for continuing to strengthen the faculty’s position as a leader in higher education, scientific research and innovation in AI in the region.
During the meeting, the strategic vision of the faculty was discussed, including the creation of new study programs in computer science, the development of digital innovation projects, as well as the deepening of cooperation between academia and industry. The main goal remains the close connection between the faculty, students and the labor market, including industry in academic processes through professional practices, joint activities and innovative proposals that guarantee a qualitative preparation of students for their careers, with a special emphasis on AI.
This acceptance-delivery marks an important step for AAB College which continues to be recognized as a leading private institution in Kosovo for technology, computer science and innovation, offering high academic standards and strengthening its international reputation through the direct connection between education, scientific research and modern industry.
