In a solemn ceremony held at AAB College, former rector Prof. Dr. Bujar Demjaha was awarded the prestigious title “Professor Honoris Causa”, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of higher education and scientific research.
The event was opened by AAB College Vice-Rector Venera Llunji, who emphasized that the honor celebrates one of the most distinguished figures in the academic community.
“This recognition for Prof. Demjaha represents not only an institutional acknowledgment but also a profound appreciation of his invaluable academic, professional, and human contributions, as well as his enduring impact on higher education and scholarly thought,” Llunji stated.
AAB College Rector Prof. Dr. Blerim Olluri presented the award, highlighting Prof. Demjaha’s unique influence on the history of the institution. He also underscored his contributions in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and spatial development.
“Prof. Dr. Demjaha has built an exemplary national and international career, combining professional mastery with a vision for a more developed society and well-planned environments rooted in integrity and creativity. He has not only designed physical spaces but also shaped the way we perceive, inhabit, and develop them,” Olluri remarked.
Academic Lulzim Tafa described the award as fully deserved, adding that Prof. Demjaha’s work and engagement will remain an important reference for future academic and intellectual generations.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Bujar Demjaha expressed his gratitude and humility, emphasizing that success in education is always a product of collective effort.
