Gëzim Shabani is a distinguished expert in management and finance within higher education in Kosovo, with extensive academic and administrative experience at AAB College. Born on September 4, 1987, in Pristina, he has built a solid career spanning institutional leadership, financial management, organizational development, and active engagement in scientific research.
He currently serves as the Vice Rector for Finance and Development at AAB College (2021–present), where he leads the college’s financial strategy and development initiatives. Since 2022, he also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of The British School of Kosovo, playing a strategic role in the governance and development of this prestigious pre-university institution.
Dr. Shabani earned his PhD in Tourism Science from the University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in North Macedonia (2014–2018), specializing in tourism management and sustainable development. He previously completed a Master’s degree in Management (2010–2013) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (2007–2010), both from AAB College, where he is now a leading figure in institutional development.
From 2016 to 2021, he served as Vice Chairman of the Steering Council at AAB College, contributing to strategic decision-making and institutional oversight. Between 2012 and 2016, he was Financial Manager at AAB College, overseeing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing periodic reports for the General Auditor and the university founder.
From 2014 to 2016, he directed the AAB Institute, a non-governmental organization focused on academic development and research. He also founded and has led the “AAB” Driving School since 2010, where he serves as executive and administrative director, turning the school into a recognized provider of professional training.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a Finance Officer at AAB College (2007–2010) and as Manager at ALBATROS Company (2006–2007), gaining essential experience in financial oversight and team management.
In addition to his institutional leadership, Gëzim Shabani is the author of several research papers presented at international conferences and published in academic journals.
