AAB College and UP are rated as the two best institutions of higher education in Kosovo by Webometrics. AAB College with an increase of 1400 positions on the list of about 30,000 universities and institutions of higher education in the world, together with the University of Prishtina which has had a slight fall from the position of the previous edition, even in the July edition are the two highest institutions of higher education in Kosovo according to the measurements of Webometrics.

Webometrics is the most comprehensive ranking of the assessment of higher education institutions in which the number of institutions being valued is around 30,000. Since the raking of January 2017, this ranking also includes Kosovo’s higher education institutions that were not part of this ranking before, but the result of their achievements has a significant breakthrough compared with AAB and UP.

Webometrics has started to be considered as one of the world’s most important rankings because it follows the trends of higher education transformation with the support of information and communication technology. The ranking according to Webometrics is based on the recognition of the good level of published scientific work, as well as the content and delivery of information from electronic sources from relevant institutions.

Webometrics is the rank of Cybermetrics Lab research group, which is part of the largest public research institution in Spain, the Council for Research (CSIC).

In the top world universities, the list is led by US universities, Harvard University, while the highest in Europe is ranked Oxford University.
