8 June 2026

AAB College organized the International Scientific Conference “Communication in the Age of AI: Transformation, Politics, and Society”, a high-level academic forum that brought together scholars, university professors, researchers, students, and experts from various national and international academic institutions.

The conference served as a multidisciplinary platform for addressing the transformations that artificial intelligence is bringing to the fields of communication, politics, and contemporary social developments.

The Rector of AAB College, Dr. Blerim Olluri, emphasized the importance of scholarly discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence on modern communication structures and decision-making processes.

In his address, Rector Olluri described the conference as an event of particular academic significance, highlighting that artificial intelligence represents one of the most transformative developments of our time and requires critical, interdisciplinary, and research-based approaches to better understand its implications for society.

Professor Hasan Saliu from the Faculty of Mass Communication expressed his satisfaction with the strong interest shown by the academic community and the participation of researchers from different countries. He praised the high academic quality of the presented papers and their contribution to advancing scholarly debate on artificial intelligence and communication.

The keynote speaker of the conference was Prof. Dr. Daniele Battista from the University of Salerno, Italy, who delivered a lecture on “Fake Reality: The Future of Political Communication with AI.” In his presentation, he examined the growing influence of artificial intelligence on political communication, focusing particularly on digital manipulation, the production of synthetic content, and the challenges that disinformation poses to democracy, transparency, and the integrity of the public sphere.

The conference proceedings continued through seven thematic scientific panels, four of which were held in person and three virtually, reflecting the international and inclusive character of the event.

Special attention was also given to the presentation of student research papers from AAB College, demonstrating the institution’s commitment to promoting scientific research and encouraging the active involvement of younger generations in academic debates on global technological developments.

The conference reaffirmed AAB College’s role as an active center for the production and promotion of scientific knowledge, creating important opportunities for international academic dialogue and for the critical examination of the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents for communication, politics, and society.
