AAB College Celebrated Europe Day within the Framework of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “KO-in-EU”

Within the framework of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “KO-in-EU”, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, AAB College organized the event “Europe Day at AAB College: From Partnerships to Inspiring Experiences”.

The event brought together institutional representatives, representatives of the European Union, ambassadors, academic staff, students, and beneficiaries of international cooperation and mobility schemes, creating a platform for discussion on the role of the European Union in advancing higher education, strengthening international cooperation, and supporting innovation and development in Kosovo.

The ceremony was opened by the Vice Rector of AAB College, Dr. Ilir Bytçi, while welcoming remarks were also delivered by Mr. Përparim Kryeziu, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kosovo of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hubert Perr, Head of Cooperation at the European Union Office in Kosovo, and Ms. Mimika Dobroshi, Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Office in Kosovo.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about AAB College’s cooperation with European universities and experiences from mobility programmes through the presentation delivered by the Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Ms. Venera Llunji. Participants were also introduced to the implementation and impact of EU-funded projects at AAB College through the presentation of the Director of the Office for Project Development, Ms. Ilirjana Geci, while the launch of the EU Progress Report was presented by the Coordinator, Prof. Shkumbin Misini. Prof. Fatime Qosaj also contributed to the discussions on the development of projects by the European Union and the importance they have for students and educational institutions in general.

The event included a presentation from the Jean Monnet Student Ambassador, Ms. Bleone Brestovci, who shared the role and activities of the initiative in promoting European values, youth engagement, and awareness about the European Union among students.

The programme additionally included presentations and testimonies from students and academic staff who have benefited from international cooperation and mobility opportunities, sharing their experiences and the impact of these programmes on their academic and professional development.

Lecturer and PhD Candidate Qëndresa Kukaj, together with Gent Anadolli, former Student Chair of AAB College, delivered emotional and inspiring testimonies on how Erasmus mobility opportunities have shaped their personal and professional journeys.
