AAB College Holds a Lecture on Consumer Protection and Market Quality with Guest Nijazi Shala

The Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics organized a lecture on consumer protection and
market functioning, featuring Nijazi Shala, Head of the Department for Consumer Protection at the
Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation.

Shala addressed key issues related to quality infrastructure and market protection, including market
surveillance, consumer protection, metrology, accreditation, and technical regulations.

The lecture also focused on the role of economic policies and national strategies in enhancing
competitiveness and ensuring a safe market for consumers.

Students had the opportunity to gain insights into the practical functioning of these mechanisms and to
ask questions regarding the protection of consumer rights in Kosovo.
