With deep sorrow and profound respect, our institution organized a commemorative ceremony in honor of Professor Mimoza Doko, a distinguished academic whose invaluable contributions will remain forever in the memories of colleagues, students, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
The ceremony began with a minute of silence in memory of Professor Mimoza Doko and brought together professors, students, colleagues, collaborators, and family members, who shared memories, tributes, and reflections on her life and legacy.
The founder of AAB College, Professor Ilir Tafa, recalled Professor Doko’s professional journey and their long-standing collaboration, highlighting her unwavering dedication to educating younger generations and her constant willingness to support and guide them.
The Rector of AAB College, Blerim Olluri, expressed his deepest condolences to the Doko family, describing Professor Doko as a devoted academic and an inspiring role model for generations of students.
Vice-Rector Venera Llunji shared personal memories of Professor Doko as both a close friend and a colleague, emphasizing that her energy, sense of humor, and vibrant spirit will remain cherished memories for a lifetime. She noted that Professor Doko’s positive influence on the professional lives of many colleagues and students is truly irreplaceable.
A particularly moving moment of the ceremony was the speech delivered by Professor Dr. Mimoza Doko’s sister, Linda Doko, who shared treasured memories from her family life and reflected on her personal and professional journey.
With great emotion and gratitude, she spoke about Mimoza’s love for her family, her dedication to her profession, and the values that defined her as a person. On behalf of the family, she thanked the institution’s leadership, colleagues, students, and all participants for organizing this commemorative ceremony and for the respect shown in honoring the memory of their beloved family member.
