AAB College Ranks Among Top 3 in International Cyber Defense Competition

AAB College participated in the 5th edition of the International Cyber Defense Competition (ICDC), held at the campus of RIT Kosovo. Students from the Faculty of Computer Science represented the institution with professionalism, resilience, and skill in one of the region’s most challenging cybersecurity competitions.

Around 40 teams from the USA, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Albania participated in the competition. The AAB team maintained a top-three position for most of the event, thanks to systematic preparation, disciplined work, and strong team collaboration.

Led by team captain Xhavit Basha, the team included students Joni Berisha, Jon Fejzullahu, Mirand Maliqi, Edison Bujupi, Arjanit Pronaj, and Erblin Kuçi. Throughout the competition, they were supported by professors Fehmi Hysenaj and Taulant Zeka, as well as Dean Arben Ahmeti and coordinator Agnesa Bajgora, who provided academic and institutional guidance at every stage of the challenge.

Participation in the International Cyber Defense Competition offers a valuable opportunity to develop advanced practical skills in cybersecurity, incident management, and real-time threat response. The students gained hands-on experience in a professional, simulated environment, enhancing their readiness for the international job market.

The performance of Computer Science students demonstrates the institution’s capacity, potential, and high academic standards in the global cybersecurity arena. This success strengthens AAB College’s position as a leading institution in Kosovo and the region in the fields of technology and innovation.
