AAB College’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, represented by Dean Fatmir Pireva and the Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOC), represented by its President, Ismet Krasniqi, signed a memorandum of cooperation.
President Ismet Krasniqi, said that with the signing of this memorandum, a new chapter is being opened for KOC which brings it even closer to educational and sports institutions, while also adding that the cooperation agreement with AAB College was realized months ago, and is now being formalized with the signing of the memorandum.
During his speech, Dean Pireva mentioned the joint activities that had already taken place such as marking the 2021 Olympic Day and the joint tables, whereas the now-formalized agreement will include staff exchange, exchange of joint experiences, organization of activities such as summer schools, symposia, and conferences, culminating in the eventual establishment of the Olympic Academy.
The Secretary General of KOC, Besim Aliti, spoke about the importance of signing this memorandum and advancing KOC in the field of education, emphasizing that the Olympic Academy will soon open, which will function as a department within KOC, and that cooperation agreements will soon reach other universities such as the University of Prishtina.
The signing of this memorandum was highly praised by the Vice President of KOC, Mimoza Shkodra Bislimi and the member of the Executive Board, Musa Selimi, as well as other representatives of AAB College, who were present.
