AAB College Boosts Regional Academic Cooperation with Albanian Universities

Prishtina, 27/08/2025AAB College, the largest non-public higher education institution in Kosovo, is taking a leading role in strengthening regional academic integration and international research collaboration. In a recent meeting with distinguished academics from Albania, new steps were taken toward creating a joint Western Balkans research and innovation platform.

The delegation from Albania included Prof. Dr. Ermira Qosja and Prof. Dr. Llambi Prendi from the University of Durrës “Aleksandër Mojsiu”, together with Professors Bledar Komina and Ubejd Osmani from CIT Tirana. AAB College was represented by Vice-Rector Ilir Bytyçi, Vice-Rector Venera Llunji, Project Coordinator Mimoza Kamberi, Project Development Officer Ereza Mehmeti, and Prof. Gresa Shaqiri, Assistant to the Rector.

Discussions focused on building a joint academic and research platform to connect universities across the Western Balkans. The partners explored opportunities for Horizon Europe projects, Erasmus+ (Strand 3) initiatives, and academia–industry cooperation, with a strong emphasis on virtual education, sustainable funding, joint publications, and regional conferences.

Both sides agreed on a series of follow-up actions with clear timelines, ensuring that each activity—from research projects to co-hosted conferences—will have concrete outcomes. This partnership further demonstrates AAB College’s commitment to excellence in higher education, international cooperation, and research-driven innovation. By connecting universities across borders, AAB is actively contributing to the future of knowledge, collaboration, and development in the Western Balkans
