On Friday and Saturday, April 23 and 24, 2021, the International Scientific Conference “The perspective of integration of the Western Balkans into the EU” will take place. This International scientific conference is organized by AAB College in cooperation with partner universities from Albania, Northern Macedonia and Croatia. 

Around 100 authors from Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Croatia, USA, Australia, Belgium, and Bulgaria spread into 8 different panels will be presenting their findings in this conference. 

The conference seeks to answer the following questions:

• what is the outlook of the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU at a time when Brussels is still calling for agreements such as the one between Kosovo and Serbia;
• how has the pandemic affected the integration process;
• What is the role of the politicians of the Balkan countries (whom the political scientist Bieber calls princes) in the European integration processes of the region?

Primary speakers of this conference will be:

• Prof. Dr. Florian Bieber, from the University of Graz, Austria;
• Prof. Dr. Anton Panchev, from Sofia University, Bulgaria, and
• Prof. Dr. Besnik Pula, Virginia Tech, USA

This conference is co-organized by the South East European University in Tetovo (Northern Macedonia); Josip Juraj Strossmayer University, Osijek (Croatia); Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (Kosovo); Aleksandër Moisiu University, Durrës (Albania); Fan S. Noli University, Korça; FON University, Skopje (Northern Macedonia).
