Career Center and the Faculty of Social Sciences organize a panel discussion on International Children’s Day

On the occasion of June 1st – International Children’s Day, the Career Center and the Faculty of Social Sciences organized a panel discussion titled “Children’s Well-Being: Family, Development, and Education in Early Childhood”, bringing together professors, students, field professionals, and guests interested in reflecting on the importance of protecting, developing, and educating children during the early years of life.

The panel was opened by the Director of the Career Center, Jehona Rukovci, who highlighted the role of families, educational institutions, and the wider community in creating conditions that ensure children’s emotional, social, and educational well-being. Discussions also focused on the challenges faced by parents and professionals in contemporary society.

The invited panelists included Prof. Merita Shala, an expert in early childhood development; Ema Skeja, a child development psychologist; and Flutura Germizaj, Director of Park School Montessori.

The discussion was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Mimoza Kamberi, and addressed issues related to children’s well-being in Kosovo, the challenges of the educational system, and the need for policies and practices that place the child at the center of social development.

The event served as a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices in the field of education and early childhood development, reaffirming the importance of investing in younger generations as the foundation of a sustainable and prosperous society.
