FAKULTETI I I GJUHËVE TË HUAJA - DEPARTAMENTI I GJUHËS ANGLEZE

AAB College is the first non-public institution of higher education in Kosovo established immediately after the war in Kosovo. In accordance with the creation of new economic, social and cultural conditions in which a normal life for the citizens of Kosovo could ensue, AAB developed a widened perspective in the field of education. Anno 2022, AAB graduates are both young and experienced practitioners, researchers and professionals who contribute to Kosovar society. AAB’s central social role at the intersection of academic research and professional practice enables it to be a vital link between professionals and researchers, thereby facilitating effective socio-cultural, academic and professional engagement. Against this backdrop, the Faculty of Foreign Languages has developed a research network that brings together alumni with positions in various professional and/or academic disciplines. The network now organizes its second annual alumni research conference and invites paper abstracts on linguistics, literature and didactics. The primary goal of the conference is to assess numerous previous MA theses, as well as current research that encourages critical reflection both academically and professionally. Additionally, the conference aims at strengthening the research collaboration between former student professionals and academics. The conference seeks to cover a wide range of topics including linguistics, translation studies, teaching methodologies, language use in different educational and professional contexts, etc. Particularly appreciated is research whereby the analysis of English is at the focus of various investigative perspectives

Laying the foundations of such a connection will help create an international, academic networking of young researchers.

Another reason for organizing this conference concerns the evaluation of previous Master theses which are considerably numerous, as well as of the current researches that encourage critical reflection from both the academic and professional perspective.

The papers will cover the following or other related fileds and topics:

English and American Literature
