Aim and program profile

The BA Program of Painting and Visual Arts allows the transformations of the contemporary artistic practices, softening the disciplinary borders of fine arts in order to incorporate a new approach to the design practice and the interaction with the different productive and social environments. Therefore, the program aims the training and preparation of students for development of multiple artistic forms and to be able to experiment and reinterpret the traditional academic approach; it also encourages them to investigate the relationship between painting and other visual arts as well as the relationship between image and project, with the aim of reflecting on the role of “being artistic” in the contemporary society. In fact, besides painting, students also deal with areas of photography, video-art, performing arts, sculpture, and surrounding environment.

Expected learning outcomes

They will be able to work as: – Creative Director, – Visual Designer, – Course Manager – Company of visual arts. – Lecturer / trainer

Academic level and degree

At successful completion of all courses foreseen by the study program and after having defended the thesis in Painting and Visual Arts, the student is awarded the academic degree of Bachelor, Bachelor of Arts – in Panting and Visual Arts.

Duration of studies and workload

Studies in the Program of Painting and Visual Arts last for three years or six semesters. Semesters are organized in such a way that they last for 15 weeks each.
