Marketing and Business

Aim and program profile

Studies of marketing and business administration will enable the students to gain essential knowledge regarding marketing, economy and business. The students will be attending special modules and will be equipped with theoretical and practical abilities and flexibility which stimulate their creative abilities. The attendees of this program will gain the necessary skills for promotional, managerial work, and the capacity for critical thinking, communication and problem resolving abilities as well as legal and ethical behavior. This program which provides a good education in marketing with a focus on global creativity, also prepares the students for a diverse career in global management in other emerging markets, administration and entrepreneurship through technologies for easier organization.

Expected learning outcomes

After the completion of the basic studies, the Bsc student will be able to: • Understand the theoretical and practical problems of marketing and business, promotion and business development; • Make the selection and analysis of information; • Review and compare the alternatives in resolving problems • Organize time; • Understand the functioning of businesses and their environment, their management and leadership; • Prepare and interpret reports • Work in an effective manner as an individual, in teams and multidisciplinary environments and be prepared for lifelong learning • Communicate effectively and reflect in a critical manner on the field of the respective discipline and broader society.

Academic degree: Bachelor of Sciences – Marketing and Business Administration

Duration of studies and workload

The Bachelor programme is organized in 6 academic semesters; each semester including 15 weeks and 30 ECTS credit points, which means that by the end of the program a student will have collected 180 ECTS. 960 hours lecturing and over 500 hours practice/exercises across three years of studies. In total, over 1500 hours of student work per year.
