Mass Communication
The Faculty of Mass Communication aims to be a successful and productive center for academic research and professional excellence in the fields of media and communication. Our mission is to prepare professional journalists, media operators, and public communication experts who will contribute to the ongoing improvement of a democratic society. To achieve this mission, we have established the following strategic objectives:
- to provide students with contemporary teaching that equips them with advanced and specific interdisciplinary knowledge related to journalism, media production, and media and communication studies;
- to ensure qualified academic staff that specializes in media and communication;
- to enhance scientific knowledge in the field of media and communication through publications, conferences, and scientific projects;
- to offer students optimal conditions for professional practice both within AAB College’s media outlets and in other media organizations in Kosovo;
- to prepare students for employment and career growth in local, regional, and international media markets;
- to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge and practical skills independently in their professional endeavors;
- to create opportunities for students to engage in discussions, scientific conferences, and creative projects;
- to involve students in debates on public issues alongside media and societal actors;
- to facilitate student participation in international activities and projects related to communication, while encouraging mobility;
- to engage students in local and community projects that allow them to apply their academic knowledge and practical skills as a contribution to society.
The primary goal of the Faculty of Mass Communication is to train journalists and media operators with advanced knowledge and skills, as well as public communication experts with specialized expertise. By entering the workforce, these professionals will contribute daily to the improvement of society. Our programs in journalism, communication, and media production emphasize a critical understanding of key communication theories and effective models of journalistic practice, along with mastery of media production technologies.
