The faculty with most scientific conferences

Only the Faculty of Mass Communication AAB has held five scientificconferences for the media and communications in the past three years, making it the faculty with most scientific conferences compared to even someuniversities together.

Last weekend the Faculty of Mass Communication – Journalism of AAB Collegeheld its fifth international scientific conference. Along with researchers of media and communications from Italy and Albania, organized by the University of Manchester, University of Florence, Faculty of Mass Communication-AABattended 7 professors from AAB in the capacity of a co-organizing institution of this conference, with the topic “Literature and Media-a comparative perspective “.

This is the fifth conference of the Faculty of Mass Communication AAB in the capacity of the organizer or co- organizer of scientific conferences, making it the only institution in Kosovo which within a period of only three years has organizedthis many profiled scientific conferences.

Few months ago, the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB, at its premisesorganized the international scientific conference for media and communicationstogether with Ecole Superieure de Journalism of Paris which is the oldest school ofjournalism in the world; with IGAP School of Paris and the Department ofCommunication and Journalism of Tirana Public University. At this conference with topic “Global massive information and national cultures” 51 releases were presented by scholars of media and communications from France, Albania, Kosovo, Romania, Montenegro and Macedonia. Another important conference was held on 24 December 2013 in Tirana on”Methodology as part of school youth civic education and its place in thecurriculum of secondary education.” The conference was organized by the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of Tirana and the Faculty of Mass Communication of the AAB University, publishing a voluminous edition suggesting the governments in Tirana and Pristina to carry out a revision ofcurricula for media education.

On the 100th anniversary of Albania’s independence, on 15 November 2012, the Department of Communications and Journalism of the public University of Tirana and the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB held the largest scientificconference with the topic “History of media and mediatisation of history”. In 2012, the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB was also a co-organizer of the scientific conference for media and communications, with topic “Television on the eyes of audience”.
