100 girls from the US and the Balkans continue to be part of the International Summer Camp “Women in Science” held at AAB College. United and curious they are learning about science and technology from specialists in the field.

Bailey Leuschen, camp organizer and director of GirlUp WiSci, said she was impressed by AAB College staff. She said she feels happy that 100 young girls are practicing science and technology in a place such as AAB College.

“When we first got to AAB College we were all awestruck. I can say that the level of quality and services in this institution is very high. I am happy that this camp is being developed with such a serious co-organizer” said Leuschen.

The girls participating in the “Women in Science” camp said that they are having a very productive time and that they have become acquainted with the people in Kosovo as well as with AAB College. They also added that this camp gave them the opportunity to get to know different cultures and that they are trying to fight stereotypes about girls in science and technology together.

WiSci Camp is made possible through a public-private partnership, with many partners from around the world, including the US Department of State, Millennium Challenge Corporation, Girl Up, and private-sector partners such as Intel and Google, NASA, AAB College, American Society for Microbiology, Microsoft, among others.
