International Conference “ArchiKOMB” brings together architecture experts at AAB College

As part of the Prishtina Arts and Architecture Festival (PAAF) 2026, the international scientific architecture conference “ArchiKOMB – Shared Vision” was held at AAB College. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in cooperation with the Association of Architects of Kosovo.

The conference featured professional discussions on contemporary architecture, urbanism, and the development of public spaces, bringing together architects, professors, researchers, and students from various countries across the region and Europe.

The first panel focused on themes exploring memory and space through design, storytelling, and sensory engagement, the architecture of the city, hybrid ecologies, and emerging habitats inspired by defensive biomimicry. Presentations were delivered by Erika Ruiz, Brulinda Basha, Muho Uruci, Nikil Kurseli, and Laura Mjekiq.

The second panel addressed topics related to the interpretation of space through the human dimension, the “Museum Train – Blaca 99” project, challenges in architectural construction, and the transformation from the traditional courtyard to the hybrid city. Contributors to this panel included Ervin Thaqi, Shkurte Pacolli, Blerim Bjaraktari, and Professor Bujar Demjaha.

“ArchiKOMB – Shared Vision” served as a platform for the exchange of ideas and professional collaboration, highlighting the importance of innovation and new approaches in architecture and urban planning. The conference fostered meaningful dialogue among participants and encouraged the exploration of sustainable and forward-looking solutions for the built environment.
