The Italian professor Michele Montemurro, from the Polytechnic University of Bari, held a lecturefor students of Architecture at AAB College

Students of the Faculty of Architecture of AAB College had the opportunity to attend a special lecture given by Professor prominent Italian Michele Montemurro, assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Bari.

The lecture focused on “Forms and character of cities near the lake and the coast of Albania – cities above ground” where the professor Montemurro, presented several papers to the Italian project, expected to be realized in some city in Albania, with special emphasis on cities: Kukes, Pogradec, Saranda and Butrint.

“The goal of this project is to create new industrialized cities, analyzing types of soils and their genesis and appropriate conditions for their construction,” he said.

Prof. Montemurro spoke only to the urban plan, that plan has been worked by the professor itself in cooperation with his students. “One of these works is that we gain under the urban plan, where our students continue to work on this plan. These urban plans come as a product of the work of Italian students, when the gained knowledge during schooling and training they have implemented this plan “, he said.

The professor said that this project presented new ideas for creating new cities depending on their geographical position and other natural factors.

During this lecture, Professor in detail described the cities mentioned above, focusing on the types of their land, in parks, their reach around the coast.

During the lecture with the Italian Professor Michele Montemurro, the interaction and involvement of students with their questions and comments was not missing as well.
