Dr. Arta Musollaj completed her undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Prishtina (2015), and in 2017 she obtained her Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics with TESOL from the University of Sheffield. In 2022, she was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sheffield (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Department of English Language and Linguistics), with the dissertation titled Attitudes towards Minority Languages in Kosovo. Her research interests encompass sociolinguistics, with a focus on language attitudes, minority languages, language policy and planning, language and power, language contact, and the role of language in peace and conflict transformation.
Complementing her academic profile, her professional experience includes teaching engagements at the International Faculty CITY College of the University of Sheffield, as well as research involvement through the South-East European Research Center (SEERC) and the University of Sheffield. She currently works as a lecturer at AAB College and as a project officer, where she is responsible for the development, monitoring, and implementation of projects.
She is a native speaker of Albanian, has professional proficiency in English, and conversational proficiency in Greek. She is also skilled in using software such as SPSS Statistics, ArcMap, and AntConc.
