Blerta Haliti

Prof. Ass. Dr. Blerta Haliti Baruti was born on October 17, 1988, in Prishtina. She completed her primary and secondary education in Mitrovica. In 2010, she graduated from the Faculty of Economics at AAB College in Prishtina, specializing in “Banking, Finance and Accounting.” In 2012, she completed her postgraduate studies at the same institution in the field of “Financial Markets and Banks,” earning the title of Master of Arts (MA). Furthermore, in 2021, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the American College Skopje, on the topic: “Insurance Sector Development And Its Effect On The Financial Markets In Developing Countries: The Case Of Kosovo,” being awarded the title Doctor of Economic Sciences, with a specialization in Economics.

Her professional experience in the insurance sector began in January 2012 at the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, initially in the position of Liquidator in the Finance Department. In this role, she was responsible for preparing and recording payment orders from the treasury, liquidating and justifying travel orders, managing the cash register, and performing other financial and administrative duties. From June 2012 to December 2020, she served as Senior Officer in the Green Card Department, where she held broad operational and financial responsibilities. She coordinated and maintained correspondence with international partners, prepared official notifications and communications regarding accidents occurring within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo involving vehicles registered abroad. As part of her responsibilities, she also oversaw the verification and processing of financial compensation and reimbursement claims within the Green Card system, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with the international rules of the multilateral agreement.

Prof. Ass. Dr. Blerta Haliti Baruti is an academic and senior manager with extensive experience in both the private and non-public sectors. Currently, she serves as the Financial Manager of the family business “Baruti Group” and is engaged as a monitor in an international project within the non-governmental organization Community Building Mitrovica (CBM). The project is implemented in cooperation with the International University of Management in the United Kingdom and the International Communities Organization (ICO), an NGO based in London and Vienna, which holds special consultative status with the United Nations.

Prof. Blerta is an academic and expert with deep experience in the fields of economics, management, and finance, both in higher education and in the private and non-public sectors. Since the 2019/2020 academic year, she has been a regular academic staff member at AAB College, where she lectures courses such as: E-Business, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics I and II, Corporate Governance, European Economic Integrations, Management, Management Information Systems, and Banking Management, at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Since 2024, she has also been engaged as a lecturer in the Health Management program at the same institution.

Prof. Haliti Baruti is married, a mother of three children, and lives in Prishtina. She has built a comprehensive professional profile through her experience in financial management, engagement in higher education, and participation in international projects and conferences.
